My Why

I was around eighteen when my father was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I was immediately engrossed in learning about how I might be a greater help to him with this often misunderstood illness. He was frequently in such severe pain that he would take sedatives along with pain medication to fall asleep and amphetamines to remain awake during the day. He was open to some yoga therapy, and the techniques we engaged in definitely helped his chronic pain and functional mobility. My father was my inspiration for pursuing Yoga as a Therapeutic lifelong study.

My Journey

My encounter with yoga as a therapeutic technique came as a result of a car accident at age twenty-two. I was hit by a car while riding my bike. My chin hit the curb causing my neck to snap back so severely that my head became immobile. I was drawn to alternative methods of healing as a result of being a college student with minimal resources.

I became consumed with how to faciltate my own healing from a severe neck injury through gentle self-administered, fascial release techniques. The empowerment felt through gaining strength and mobility and without depending on costly and often ineffective western medicine was immeasurable, and the relief I felt was priceless.

I wholeheartedly believe in the power of greater self-knowledge and understanding as the premier tool to facilitate one's healing and freedom from suffering.

With over 1,000 certified hours across diverse yoga disciplines, I've cultivated a rich understanding of yogic health and wellness through international study and teaching engagements. My practice extends across various styles, enabling me to offer tailored sessions for all ages and abilities. I'm passionate about continuous learning and bringing back the most effective and transformative therapeutic yoga techniques to benefit my clients' holistic well-being.
